Description:
Volunteer programs to choose from:
- Child Care Assistant, Retirement Village Assistant* or Japanese Teacher Assistant (unpaid volunteer)
- Unique workplace opportunity in Brisbane
- 20-35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
- Placements will be within 45 minutes travel time (on average) to/from your accommodation
- Work experience with local community

About this Course
Entry Requirements
- Available in Brisbane only
- Applicant must be 20 years or older
- Minimum strong pre-intermediate English level or above when commencing the volunteer program
- Minimum 10 weeks study at BROWNS
- Valid Working holiday visa or Student visa
- Submission of a completed BROWNS Volunteer Application form, blue card application
- Federal Police certificate and 1 page resume required for Retirement Village Volunteer

On top of the Accelerate option, students also have other activities that they could do after/before school. A popular one is Jobs Club, so helping students prepare a resume and interview skills. We also have Conversation Club which is a relaxed, free talking activity and a range of activities as well during the week or over the weeks, including BBQ’s which are very popular, we go down to the park to play soccer or volleyball and a range of other activities that will keep them busy.
