Become a BROWNS Homestay Host!

Sign up as a homestay host and provide a safe and welcoming home away from home. As a homestay host, you will have the opportunity to learn about new cultures, make lifelong connections and receive fortnightly payments to cover expenses. The BROWNS team will provide ongoing support and resources to help you succeed as a homestay host.

Here’s how it works

Location check

To ensure our students can travel easily to campus, we look for homestay homes:
  • Up to 50 minutes by public transport (Brisbane & Gold Coast)
  • Brisbane Campus: Level 8, 102 Adelaide St, Brisbane
    Gold Coast Campus: 5 Hicks Street, Southport
  • Up to 1 hour 15 minutes by public transport (Melbourne).
  • Melbourne Campus: Level 3, 30 Church Lane, Melbourne:

Get Started

Ready to host? Complete either the online or PDF Homestay Application Form below. If required, please also apply for a Blue Card (QLD) or Working with Children Check (VIC).

Email

Once completed, please email a photocopy of your Blue Card (QLD) / Working with Children Check (VIC) and signed Homestay Terms and Conditions.

Inspection

Our Accommodation team, will contact you to arrange an inspection. If you satisfy our Homestay criteria, we will issue you with a letter of confirmation. Our friendly Homestay team is always happy to chat. Feel free to reach out using the contact details below.
