Available Sports
Surfing
Enjoy two one-hour surf lessons per week at Australia’s No. 1 Surf School, Cheyne Horan School of Surf, located in Surfers Paradise.
All lessons are delivered by accredited professional surfing coaches recognised by Surfing Australia and include surfboard, rash vest and wetsuit use.
For your first surf lesson, transport is provided from BROWNS to the surf school. From the second lesson onwards, students travel by bus or tram.
Students who successfully complete the program receive a Surfing Certificate from Cheyne Horan School of Surf and a course certificate from BROWNS.

Tennis
Train and play tennis while improving your English with two one-hour tennis sessions per week at Tennis Plus Queens Park, Southport
Tennis sessions are designed to suit a range of abilities, and are led by qualified, experienced coaches who can focus on technique, movement and game strategy.
Students will receive a Statement of Achievement from BROWNS.

Golf
Enjoy the perfect balance of English study and sport with two 30-minute golf sessions per week, delivered by PGA-accredited professional golfer at Southport Golf Club.
- Two 30-minute golf lessons
- Driving range practice
Sessions are suitable for all levels and focus on developing core skills such as swing technique, short game, course play and golf etiquette.
For your first golf lesson, transport is provided from BROWNS to the golf club. From the second lesson onwards, students travel by bus or tram.
Students who complete this course are awarded with a Golf Certificate from Southport Golf Club and a Statement of Achievement from BROWNS.
Entry Requirements: From Beginner to Advanced (English Level and Golf Level)
Age: 16 and over
Duration: 1-17 weeks (depending on your visa)
Attire: Collared shirt and golf shoes

Yoga
Relax, reset and improve your wellbeing with two one-hour yoga sessions per week, guided by a professional yoga instructor in a calm, supportive studio in Surfers Paradise.
All sessions include use of a yoga mat, blocks and yoga straps. Students are asked to bring a towel to place over the yoga mat for hygiene and comfort.
For your first yoga lesson, transport is provided from BROWNS to the yoga studio. From the second lesson onwards, students travel by bus or tram.

Scuba-Diving
Complete your PADI Open Water Scuba Diving certification over one action-packed weekend.
This experience combines scuba-diving theory, PADI e-learning, practical training and four open water dives, completed over one weekend (Friday to Sunday), weather permitting.
Scuba-Diving Lessons
- 5hrs e-learning + exam
- 3 hours x 3 sessions
- Session 1 (Friday) – Closed Dive 1,2,3 in a pool
- Session 2 (Saturday) – Closed Dive 4,5 Wave Break Island. Open Dive 1 Wave Break Island
- Session 3 (Sunday) – Open Dive 2,3,4 Wave Break Island
Students who successfully complete this course are awarded with a BROWNS Certificate of Achievement and a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Certificate from Aqua Adventures.
Entry Requirements: From Elementary to Advanced (English proficiency)
Age: 16 and over
Duration: Minimum 2 weeks of Intensive General English enrolment required
Location: Students must make their own way to Aqua Adventures in Southport
